SPECIAL NOTE: Classes are only being offered individually at this time.
A college level Social Skills Training for Adults with social challenges. The group provides formal skills training in Communication Etiquette, Perspective -Taking and Empathy, Managing Social Anxiety, and Hidden Friendship Rules with the purpose of gaining & maintaining adult friends.
Three Separate Weekly Courses that build on each other include:
COURSE ONE: Social Rules with Acquaintances
COURSE TWO: From Friendly to Friendship
COURSE THREE: Interpersonal Relationships

When groups in sessions, students are welcome to REPEAT PAID COURSES FREE.
Pre-requisites: An intake evaluation is required prior to participation. Motivation to learn socialization skills, willingness to engage in homework activities with supportive adult, typical cognitive abilities, and ability to control frustration in safe and non disruptive manner.

Girls Friendship Skills

SPECIAL NOTE: Classes are only being offered individually at this time.
A fun friendship class that teaches young girls how to feel good about themselves, make and keep same aged friends, and manage troubled friendships, and "mean" girls. With the use of arts and crafts, therapeutic games, prizes, discussion, and role plays, Cognitive-Behavioral Social Thinking® strategies address specific topics and friendship skills including:
SELF-ESTEEM and SELF CONFIDENCE
SELF-CARE SKILLS for EMOTIONS
INGREDIENTS TO KEEPING FRIENDSHIPS
STRATEGIES for RELATIONAL AGGRESSION and FRIENDSHIP TROUBLES
Individual Class is designed for girls between the ages of 7 to 12 years old,
who are having mild problems making and keeping friends.
