With over 20 years of experience in the field of Mental Health, and as a graduate of San Diego State University's School of Social Work Master's Degree (MSW) program in 2002, I have worked with a broad range of children, teens, and adults in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, and outpatient mental health clinics providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
Since 2007, I have been Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide counseling and therapy. In 2013, I was designated Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) in Clinical Social Work by The American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.
Throughout my career, evidenced-based therapies that I have been trained in and successfully incorporate in my practice include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I specialize in anxiety and mood management and self-care with life transitions.
To effectively address personal challenges and goals, I approach individual therapy collaboratively. With your input, I conscientiously take the pace that brings you the most benefit using nonjudgmental support combined with therapeutic feedback and guidance.
Overall, I am a warm and genuine solution-focused therapist and welcome you contacting me with questions related to my therapy practice and scheduling. I look forward to being of support.
